![]() ![]() Users have tried deleting save directories, moving save directories, moving Uplay directories (in instances where Steam, AC, and Uplay aren't necessarily installed on the same drive). Nearly every forum I've checked regarding this problem (usually with one specific Assassin's Creed game as the topic) points to Uplay as the culprit. I'm not sure if the OP is using Steam for these games, but I would hazard a guess that he has these items installed. With regards to DirectX, C++ redistributions, etc, Steam always installs them for you upon first running any given game. Steam has a feature that will scan your install for missing/damaged/corrupt files and replace them with fresh ones. ![]() I have restarted many times since then for various other reasons, so that doesn't solve it. I have been attempting to solve this problem off and on since I built my current PC this past December. My older PC, which has the same software but different hardware, can run the games just fine. None of these games work, though Assassin's Creed IV does work (lucky for Ubisoft, considering they and Nvidia offered the game in a holiday bundle with purchase of my GPU). I have this exact same problem, also running on an i7 and GTX780. Have you tried restarting your computer since you installed them?Ĭause I bet you're "missing" some file they need to launch.īut what file I have no clue unless they tell you what's missing.Īt the end of their installations did they have any optional check boxes for other things they wanted to install? like direct-x or microsoft c++ redistribution?
